Supporting the Silver Santas Program
Silver Santas is an all volunteer grassroots project and depends on the generosity and support of the community.
The Following are ways that you can make a difference in helping deserving Seniors:
1. Be A Sponsor : We welcome support from businesses and organizations who wish to give generously to our seniors and support our program. We want to recognize your support and encourage others to participate. Please enter your donation amount on the Donate to Silver Santas page and we will recognize for your donation as follows:
$100 will get your names listed on our Facebook Page $250 will get the above and a listing on our website. $500 will get the above and your company listed on all the Poster at the Tree Sites in local retail stores, senior centers and businesses $1,000 will get the above and your logo printed on all the bags given to each of the seniors. |
2. Get the word out : One of the best ways to help deserving seniors who are in danger of being forgotten this holiday season is to help us make everyone aware of the Silver Santas program. You can do this in many ways such as simply telling everyone about the program and the good we do in the community. Here are some things (tools) that can help you do this. If you need someone to help you talk about Silver Santas, such a presentation to a group, we are delighted to have one of our volunteers help do this. Just reach out to us on the contact page. Click here for a download of the Silver Santas brochure3. Engage Others: Make Silver Santas part of your normal activities (this includes businesses). We call this "Party with a Purpose" . If you are having an event/party ask participants to bring a Silver Santas gift item*. We believe in Holiday Cheer Throughout the Year, you can create a theme such as "A Pajama Party". have everyone bring a pair of PJs. Use your imagination. Have a "Silver Santas Shopping Spree invite friends and family to be “Silver Santa Shoppers” by selecting a tag (or several) below and go shopping! You can also include a link in your emails to family and friends to purchase gift items from the ease of their home on Amazon. There are also so many volunteer opportunities that you can coordinate as a group and really help getting Gift Bags to the recipients. Be a Tree Site : Whether your a Business looking to involve your employees in a community activity, a Retailer that wants to engage with their customers, a Church looking for a charity to support, Your Silver Santa Shopper brings the completed Gift Bags (provided), along with the gift tag, back to you, or to the alternate location printed on the tag by December 2, 2024.
